Real Madrid have won their 36th La Liga title this season, securing the league championship with a 3-0 victory over Cadiz in front of their home supporters at the Bernabeu. It caps off what has been a dominant campaign for the Spanish giants.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side lost just one game through their opening 34 matches, a stretch that has allowed them to hold the top spot in the table for most of the season. They have wrapped up the title with four games to spare in the campaign.
Real’s Leading Players Head to Euro 2024 Full of Confidence
Many of Real Madrid’s La Liga winners will be involved in the European Championship tournament this summer for their respective countries. They will all head to Germany full of confidence.

Midfielder Toni Kroos, who will be playing in his home country, is one of those players who will be hoping to lift the trophy. Those placing Euro 2024 bets can get odds of 11/2 on the hosts prevailing. They are bidding for their first European Championship success since 1996.
Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez is another who goes into the tournament with a great chance of glory. His country, Spain, are 8/1 in the Euro 2024 winner odds. The four-time La Liga winner prevailed in the Nations League final with Spain in 2023. However, a European Championship triumph would be the biggest achievement of his international career. It is also likely to be his last appearance for his country at a major competition.
At the age of 38, it will also be the final opportunity for Luka Modric to win a trophy for his country. The Croatian has been integral to the success his national team has had over the last couple of decades. Croatia reached the World Cup final in 2018, while they finished third in the same tournament in 2022.
Ancelotti Adds to Impressive CV
Italian Carlo Ancelotti is expected to be crowned the Manager of the Year in Spain this season. This is his second La Liga triumph of his career, as he also helped Real to the trophy in 2022. The 64-year-old has long been considered one of the best head coaches in the world, and after this latest season, he has strengthened that claim.

Ancelotti helped mastermind a quarter-final triumph over defending champions Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League earlier this season. His side prevailed on penalties at the Etihad Stadium, after absorbing a lot of pressure from the home side for 120 minutes in that game.
The Real boss has nurtured some of the inexperienced players in his squad this season and given them the freedom to express themselves. He has also used experienced players like Nacho, Kroos, and David Alaba to be the leaders on the pitch. That has proven to be a winning combination.
Ancelotti was linked with the Brazil national team job last year, but he seems committed to staying in Madrid for now. He signed a contract extension back in December that keeps him at the Bernabeu until June 2026.
Mbappe Expected to Arrive Next Season
Real Madrid are set to be boosted by one of the best footballers in the world this summer, as French superstar Kylian Mbappe is expected to join on a free transfer. The 25-year-old’s contract with PSG will expire in June, and reports suggest he has chosen the Spanish giants as his next club.
Mbappe won his sixth Ligue 1 crown with PSG this season. He has now played over 300 games for the French club, scoring over 250 goals. The forward claims he decided to leave PSG to seek a new challenge in his career.
Real have made several attempts to sign Mbappe over the last few years but they have been unable to reach an agreement with PSG. As a free transfer, the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner can demand a high signing-on fee, which could reach as high as £100 million.
The primary goal for Mbappe at Real Madrid will be to win the UEFA Champions League. The Spanish club have had a lot of success in the premier European competition over the last decade.
With a record-extending La Liga crown, and a team that looks to be getting better with every game, Real Madrid fans can be very excited about what their club can achieve over the next few years.
