Kanye West’s Twitter Account Suspended by Elon Musk

Ye, the rapper previously known as Kanye, has been suspended from Twitter by Elon Musk.

This suspension comes after a series heated online exchanges between Ye & Musk. Ye has made numerous antisemitic remarks in interviews over the last week. He also shared a series of controversial tweets, including one showing a swastika superimposed on the Star of David.
“Sorry, you have gone too far. This isn’t love,” Musk wrote Ye in response to the photo, according to a screenshot Ye shared on Twitter of their conversation before his suspension.

Ye also shared screenshots on Truth Social — Donald Trump’s social media site — of his text conversation with Musk. The text exchange also contained a screenshot taken by Ye from his Twitter account, which indicated that Ye had been placed in a 12-hour Twitter Timeout.
Ye seemed to be aware of his suspension. On Thursday, Ye posted an unflattering photo of Musk on a yacht with the caption: “Let’s always remember that as my last tweet #ye24.”
