Britbots partners with FAIR Advisers to Launch an AI & Robotics Investors Club
Britbots is pleased to announce the launch of the AI\R Club, a members investment club, in conjunction with FAIR Advisers Ltd.
Britbots Funds, operating since 2017, have now invested in over thirty companies engaged in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and automation. Investment activity in these sectors has been strong in recent years (according to Beauhurst’s recently published 2021 Deal Report, UK venture capital investment into AI deals was second only to Fintech in 2021).
Several of the investee companies within the Britbots Funds have succeeded in creating scalable product propositions with attractive market dynamics. Such companies have demonstrated commercial and technical viability and are on a pathway to becoming substantial global businesses with expanded capital needs, usually met by issuing further equity. In all such issues, existing shareholders have an opportunity to take up their pre-emption rights. Britbots, as an early investor in these companies, has substantial pre-emption rights in each case, which it will now syndicate with AI\R Club members.
The AI\R Club will offer its members access to a unique stream of EIS-qualifying deals from cutting-edge robotics & AI companies. Members’ interests will be protected by the Britbots Funds’ representative on the board of each company. Membership will be available to sophisticated or high-net worth investors who are familiar with the risks inherent in early-stage investing,
