IMD Group brings all its companies under one umbrella to rebrand as VIMA Group

IMD Group, IMD Consultancy, EITEC and BMC join together in one combined transformation enterprise 

A quartet of management consultancy, training and digital solutions companies are merging as part of a rebrand to create a single cyber safe digital transformation enterprise called VIMA Group.  

IMD Group, IMD Consultancy, BMC and EITEC will all fall under the VIMA umbrella moving ahead – as the growing firm positions itself for an exciting new chapter. 

140 people are now part of VIMA – with staff working on a variety of secure complex projects, acquiring businesses and venturing into new markets. Such rapid growth has prompted a rebrand that accurately reflects the company’s current status and wider capabilities.  

The name VIMA was chosen due to its Greek origin of ‘step’ or ‘pace’. It is also a word associated with ‘dynamism’ and ‘movement’ – ensuring it is suited to VIMA staff’s commitment to taking clients on a step-by-step transformation journey.  

VIMA began life six years ago as a company focused on delivering management training and consultancy. In August 2015, IMD Group acquired BMC – a 40-year-old management training provider for the armed forces resettlement market – before expanding into the public sector with a team of specialist consultants.

2021 saw IMD acquire digital solutions specialist EITEC – expanding the company’s capabilities across engineering, business intelligence and cybersecurity. 

As services diversified and the team grew, the desirability for a rebrand and new identity became apparent.

VIMA will continue to work in the defence, security and wider public sector as well as a range of other industries, providing strategic solutions that guarantee the best possible results.
