Hello Bio Supports BNA 2022 Scholars Program
Hello Bio is delighted to announce its support of the British Neuroscience Association’s (BNA) Scholars Programme 2022.
The purpose of the BNA Scholars programme is to support students from underrepresented ethnic groups to thrive in neuroscience, and build a supportive community through networking opportunities, bursaries, and mentorship. Hello Bio will support the programme by providing a £300 bursary for each student to support them with their scientific career.
The BNA Scholars programme, now in its second year, offers students a mentoring scheme, networking opportunities, and membership to the BNA and FENS, as well as funding towards conferences. The programme is open to final year undergraduate, masters or PhD students, as well as research assistants and technicians who self-identify as Black, Asian or minority ethnic and are interested in pursuing a career in neuroscience.
We are delighted to be able to offer financial support to the seven BNA Scholars of 2022. As a company, supporting diversity, inclusivity, and fairness to all are central to Hello Bio’s ethos. We give voices to all scientists via our wide-reaching blog, and we are especially passionate about supporting early career scientists with our portfolio of low-priced research products, grants, and resources for personal and professional development. The BNA Scholars Programme is a much-needed initiative to support early-career Black, Asian & minority ethnic neuroscientists and we are excited to be part of it. Steve Roome PhD, Managing Director, Hello Bio
Scholars will be selected by a review panel and successful Scholars will be matched with a Mentor for the programme. The funds awarded by Hello Bio can be used by the Scholars during the programme for anything that will help further their scientific career such as conference attendance, training, or equipment.
BNA President, Rik Henson, also commented:
