Matter of Software moves to new centrally-based premises to facilitate expansion.

Matter of Software is excited to announce a move to new premises in the centre of Shirley, offering a number of key benefits to staff and clients. The move comes after several Covid-related delays, and we can now announce our new address is 217a Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull B90 3AH.

Based on employee and client feedback, along with our desire to support the High Street, we chose offices that are based on Shirley’s main thoroughfare, giving us easy access to local shops, cafes and restaurants, helping to breathe much needed life back into the area.

Situated on the doorstep of the planned Shirley Central metro line stop, our new location offers fantastic transport links to Solihull and Birmingham, with the M42 just a short drive away. Parking is well catered for, with a number of car parks just minutes away, all offering up to 3 hours free parking.

Spread over two floors, the new premises provide us with dedicated space for different work areas, giving us plenty of accommodation for our growing team, along with meeting facilities to accommodate client visits, and high speed internet access.

Following a recent recruitment drive, we are in the process of adding a Junior and Senior Software Developer, Digital Business Analyst, two Apprentice Software Developers and two Apprentice Software Testers to our team, as well as additional roles through the Government’s Kickstart scheme.

This will give us the technical and functional capability to ensure our ongoing compliance with ISO9001 quality standards (Cyber Essentials Plus), commitment to continual improvement, and ability to move quickly to meet client demands, enabling us to manage our expanding client base, growing portfolio of projects and ever-increasing number of internal software developments – to be launched as a service later in the year.

We look forward to welcoming clients to our new premises, although for the present they remain closed to visitors, with the majority of our staff working remotely. For those on site, we have strict protocols in place, including the wearing of masks, regular hand washing, daily self-assessed health checks and weekly Covid-19 tests.

Despite the constraints of the pandemic, we continue to offer a complete service to all businesses looking to improve current business operations or launch a new software to capitalise on R&D tax credits and business diversification opportunities.
