Jessica Turner Promoted to Associate Solicitor at Manleys Solicitors in Chester
Chester-based boutique commercial litigation and reputation management firm, Manleys Solicitors, has announced the promotion of Jessica Turner to the role of Associate Solicitor.
Jessica has been with Manleys for over seven years, having previously worked at a well-known full-service firm in the North-West. Joining Manleys in 2016, she pursued her passion for becoming a successful reputation management and commercial litigation lawyer. Starting as a Paralegal and Personal Assistant to Mr. Manley, Jessica handled various responsibilities related to the firm’s day-to-day operations and finances, while also providing support to solicitors on cases. Working full time, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC with a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. Jessica’s dedication paid off, and she was awarded a training contract in 2017, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019. Even after 3 ½ years of qualification, Jessica continues to excel in her work.
Since becoming a qualified solicitor, Jessica has been instrumental in protecting her clients’ reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and private and confidential information. Her expertise spans a wide range of legal issues, including Reputation Management, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Privacy, Breach of Confidence, Harassment, Data Protection, Advertising Law, and Shareholder Disputes.
Throughout her career, Jessica and the firm have represented high-profile clients and handled notable cases. One of her most significant achievements involved securing a landmark victory for her client in a privacy case (Pryor v Liverpool Womens’ NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). This success garnered attention and was reported on Media Blog, Inforrm. Jessica also achieved a notable result against a major social media platform, reaching an out-of-court settlement after alleging breaches of defamation and data protection laws. This accomplishment, reported earlier this year, undoubtedly contributed to her recent promotion. From these notable successes to the testimonials on the firm’s website, www.manleys.law, it is evident that Jessica consistently delivers exceptional results for her clients.
Mark Manley, Managing Director of the Legal 500 firm, expressed his satisfaction with Jessica’s progress, stating, “Watching Jess grow from an administrative position/paralegal/trainee into one of our most accomplished solicitors has been truly rewarding. She is a dedicated and hard-working solicitor who has developed her legal knowledge, consistently surpassing all targets set for her. Undoubtedly, she is a star of the future. I had no hesitation in promoting her, and I am confident that she will continue to excel while helping our clients achieve their goals. She is an asset to the firm.”
Regarding her recent promotion, Jessica commented, “I have enjoyed many years at Manleys and have a genuine passion for the work I do. Achieving positive outcomes for my clients has always been my primary objective, and I look forward to continuing that commitment in my new position with the firm.”
