Frontier Airlines Flight from Cincinnati to Tampa made an emergency landingAtlanta, Georgia on Friday night, after a passenger was spotted with a box-cutter.

Tim Turner, spokesperson for Atlanta International Airport, said that the man threatened to stab other passengers and crew members on Flight 1761. The New York Times

According to the airline there were no injuries. Atlanta Police took the passenger into custody.

It is unclear how he managed a box cutter to the plane. After they were banned in the aftermath of 9/11, box cutters are now prohibited. among the weaponsAl Qaeda hijackers used it on September 11, 2001.

Pre-flight screening should identify knives and blades, as well as box cutters. 

Frontier Airlines spokesperson Jennifer de la Cruz stated that all passengers were offered accommodation in Atlanta and that a new flight was scheduled for Saturday to take them from Tampa.
