Over 50% of Explorer Travel Insurance customers to take multiple holidays this year

Explorer Travel Insurance, a specialist provider of cover to customers with pre-existing medical conditions, today announces the results of its recent “Travel in 2022” survey.

More than half (58%) of the 1,500 respondents to Explorer’s survey said that they were planning 2 or more overseas trips during 2022, with Spain, Greece and France the most popular destinations.

And despite the disruption of the past 2 years caused by the pandemic, when asked what are the most important considerations when choosing a travel insurance policy, the top two buying factors were Emergency medical expenses cover not related to Coronavirus (26%) closely followed by the policy cost (25%).

Explorer’s Managing Director, Ian Jennings, commented:

“For many, 2022 will be the first time that they have travelled overseas for 3 years.  It’s great that people want to reconnect with friends and family outside of the UK again, as well as take that well earned summer break.”
