AWTG appoints Tony Sceales as Executive Chairman
Network solutions provider AWTG today announced its appointment of Tony Sceales to the position of Executive Chairman.
Based at AWTG’s London headquarters, Sceales will chair AWTG’s Board, and work closely with shareholders, stakeholders and the Executive team.
Sceales brings a strong track record of delivering technology-led enterprise growth and will build on AWTG’s established reputation for network-driven innovation delivery. He joins from the UK Government’s DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) where he has led 5G Programme Development for the past four years. The £200m 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme is recognised as a global exemplar for successful collaborative public and private sector innovation.
AWTG’s deep engineering expertise, together with its experience in delivering advanced connectivity infrastructure and services has positioned it as a leader in operational transformation. I’m delighted to join AWTG’s world-class team and to help set and implement a strategy that will increase AWTG’s capacity to bring advanced private and hybrid networking solutions to service providers and enterprises across public and private sectors.

Tony Sceales will take up his role in April of 2022.
