Kneip and Fondsdepot Bank partner to improve data quality in German fund market

Luxembourg/Hof, 25 January 2022. Kneip, a global leader in fund data management, regulatory reporting and distribution support, and Fondsdepot Bank, the leading platform for trading and custody of funds in Germany, announce today a new partnership to increase data accuracy in the German fund distribution process, as Kneip launches its Data Collection Service to power Fondsdepot Bank’s new Digital Frontend Tool.

Kneip’s Data Collection Service simplifies the collection of fund data and documents right from the source. It also ensures the highest levels of data accuracy, as quality reports on data collected are automatically sent back to the source (fund administrator or manufacturer) when information is missing or outdated.

By launching the service in Germany, Kneip will collect data and documents for Fondsdepot Bank’s new Digital Frontend Tool which provides fund distributors and advisors with a digital access to all required information during the advisory and distribution process. The new partnership will lead to an increase in the accuracy and reliability of fund data used for the distribution of funds in Germany.

It was very important for us to partner with Fondsdepot Bank to launch our Data Collection Service in Germany,” says Enrique Sacau, Chief Executive Officer of Kneip. “By working directly with the market leader, we ensure that this new service has a deep impact on the quality of fund data available on the German market, which will bring better market visibility for asset managers, more reliable sources for fund distributors and more trust for end investors to select funds suited to their investment preferences.”

Sebastian Henrichs, Chief Executive Officer of Fondsdepot Bank commented: “We are delighted to partner with Kneip on funds data. The solution is being integrated into our new state-of-the art advisory and brokerage front-end which enables partners for investment distribution in a fully digital and legally compliant manner. Kneip sets the highest standards for itself – we as well as our distribution partners will immediately benefit from the quality of the data.”

About Fondsdepot Bank. We – Fondsdepot Bank – are the leading platform for trading and holding of funds in Germany, with no product interests of our own. Our partners decide independently how and which products they offer their customers for investment. In doing so, they do not have to worry about us poaching their customers. We focus on neutrality and joint success. This is also the reason why Germany’s largest insurance and financial sales companies trust us and work closely with us. More than 200 sales partners of various sizes rely on our expertise and experience. We have been able to support many of them since our company was founded in 1993 with our services relating to the trading and holding of funds. Our partners can rely on us to master the regulatory framework for the entire value chain. As the largest liability umbrella in Germany, we have a special responsibility in this regard. We also leverage our in-house expertise – from legal to IT to operations and our own customer care center. This makes us the only fund platform in Germany that is functionally completely independent. It is therefore not surprising that no other platform manages as much customer assets (over 64 billion euros as of December 2021) as we do. Find more information at www.fondsdepotbank.de
