Everything you need to know about the Audi A8, coming in 2022
The Audi A8 luxury saloon has indeed been modified for 2022, with new styling and innovative technology being added to the show runner. Receiving a fine makeover and new features for 2022, the A8 will continue to boast the reputation of being Audi’s most iconic flagship motor.
So with 2022 fast approaching and the release of the A8 just around the corner, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Audi A8 model.
Cost
Pricing for the newly updated Audi A8 begins at £82,835 for the diesel motor and A8 50 TDI and £92,284 for the A8 60 TFSIe Quattro. A staggering price indeed – but if you’d like our hands on this stunning motor – why not try your luck in a car raffle like Dream Car Giveaways, which offer the chance to win the latest and greatest cars.
What exterior changes to expect
The exterior of Audi’s stunning A8 model has undergone several changes. The front end of the luxury saloon has been redesigned with a wider grille, and the air intakes at the bumper’s edges have been angled slightly to appear more upright. The use of chrome on the fascia has been improved, providing an immaculate exterior and finish.
Audi will provide its luxobarge with an optional S Line exterior package, helping to bring some sleek and stylish design features arising from those of the performance-oriented S8 model for the first time since the A8’s inception in 1994.
The German automakers have added new and improved design features such as S8-inspired blades in the side inlets. The previous model’s optional chrome and black exterior bundles have been carried over.
Digital Matrix LED Headlights
Audi’s Digital Matrix LED headlights, that use approximately 1.3 million micromirrors to divide the light into individual pixels, are standard across all new A8 models – which enables the car to transmit a range of light only in the driver’s lane.
What to expect from the interior
The interior of the A8 was already outstanding in appearance and functionality prior to the 2022 renovation, and therefore the Audi team only decided to make minor changes to the opulent interior. The updated Audi Virtual Cockpit is joined by an entirely optional head-up display, and the centre console houses a pair of 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch touchscreens. Since we’re on the subject of screens, there are two more in the back for the rear-seat entertainment system, both of which have 10.1-inch displays.
It is worth mentioning the impressive existing features of the Audi A8, boasting diamond quilting and deep-pile rear floor mats. The splendid foot-massaging relaxation seats are also another spectacular future of the German manufacturer’s showcase motor.
How it feels to drive
In truth, it feels totally effortless to drive – it’s easy and relaxing. The seamless but ruthless acceleration makes driving feel exceptional in this high performing, luxury vehicle. The eight-speed automatic transmission smooths things out with practically effortless shifts, though it can be a little slow to react if you request a sudden rush of acceleration.
And there you have it – everything you need to know about the Audi A8, coming soon in 2022.
