Aagrah Foods’ delicious new LahsenⓇ Tarka Sauce scoops The Grocer Magazine’s 2021 New Product Award

The Yorkshire institution’s spicy recipe won ‘Best Cooking Sauce & Marinade’ at the famous food & drink honours 

Made using authentic, historic recipes developed by professional chefs, Aagrah Foods’ sauces let people create restaurant-quality curries at home in as little as 15 minutes.

LahsenⓇ Tarka is one of Aagrah’s newest concoctions – taking inspiration from a Peshawar dish with pickled garlic. The sauce is made using traditional Tarka cooking methods – frying spices at high heat to release the flavours. 

Jars of LahsenⓇ Tarka hit shelves in spring 2021 and have proven an instant hit, with The Grocer’s award panel stating: “Judges loved the balance of flavours in this sauce. It provided a nice texture and a great element of pickle. 

“The product offered something a little different in this field that made it stand out from the crowd.”
