Aura Esports Partners with Skullz on New Collection
Founded in 2018, Aura Esports has achieved success in several tournaments including Top 30 Global in Brawlhalla, top 3 UK in SFV, Dreamhack 2019 Rocket League champions, and 3rd place in ESL Benelux 2019. The organization chose to work with Skullz based on a variety of factors.
“When looking for a pro apparel partner, we wanted people who understood the industry and shared our passion for it. Skullz has that,” says Michael Atkins, Sales and Partnerships Manager for Aura Esports. “They listened to our story and identified with our underdog mindset to craft a jersey that was minimal in nature, but bold enough to build a legacy upon.”
According to UKIE data, the esports sector of the UK has grown about 8.5% a year between 2016 and 2019, and teams are reaping benefits in more ways than one. Sporting professional gear supports the professionalism of the team and boosts morale amongst players.
Recognized as a leading retailer in the esports space, Skullz is forging a new path for professional teams, organizations, and affiliates. The company recently formed partnerships with pro-teams in Mexico, Canada, and Australia. “We are honored to work with Aura,” says Wes Byrd, CEO of Skullz. “Their approach to gaming aligns with ours as we work together to support a global esports community.”
Aura Esports aims to grow the Scottish esports community by entering and winning tournaments while supporting esports in the U.K.
