Supreme Pharmatech will apply patented green nanotechnology to maximize nutritional value of hemp oil
Mrs. Milint Wintrasiri, Chief Executive Officer of Supreme Pharmatech, announced, that R&D Department of Supreme Pharmatech had successfilly tested green method of hemp oil nanoencapsulation without usage of harmful solvents. The new method of hemp oil nanoencapsulation is based on the principles of patented technology invented by Professor M.R.Mozafari and called as Mozafari Method.
Accordingly to Professor M.R.Mozafari, who is a Head of R&D Department at Supreme Pharmatech, other methods of nanoencapsulation of oils are performed with the usage of solvents, which are considered as harmful and environmentally unfriendly. The new method of nanoencapsulation of hemp oil by Supreme Pharmatech will be performed without usage of harmful or toxic solvents and can be characterized as a “Green Technology”.
Scientific studies suggest that hemp oil is able to help certain health issues, such as inflammation, skin conditions, mental, neurological and cardio diseases. This is primarily due to high content of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Hemp seed oil is a very unique oil, it contains omega-6 and omega-3 in the most optimal 3:1 ratio. Moreover, hemp seed oil contains SDA (stearidonic acid) – the superior form of omega-3, which converts to EPA in the body more efficiently than EPA from fish oil. Besides this, hemp seed oil is also a great source of omega-9, which is absent in fish oil.
Accordingly to data published by Nutraingredients-Asia, hemp seed oil contains highest amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids, 62% more than in flax seeds, 96% more than in chia seeds and 104% more than in fish oil. Hemp seed oil also contains vitamins A, E, D3, phytosterols and great amount of Magnesium. Hemp seed oil is considered by many nutritionists as a good alternative to a fish oil.
Incorporation of liposomal botanicals or liposomal vitamins into hemp seed oil may bring additional benefits. Liposomal resveratrol or liposomal hesperidin in hemp seed oil may find wide application against progression of cardio diseases. Liposomal curcumin in hemp seed oil may be applied as anti-inflammatory supplement. Liposomal quercetin and liposomal glutathione in hemp seed oil may be applied against neurological and mental disorders. Liposomal glutathione and liposomal vitamin C in hemp oil may be useful against skin disorders. Liposomal astragalus or liposomal reishi in hemp seed oil can be useful for people with weakened immune system.
Accordingly to data published in “Industrial Hemp – Global Market Outlook (2018-2027)”, the hemp market will show 32% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) and reach USD 42 Billion by the year 2027. Companies with advanced processing techniques will greatly benefit from such growth.
New solvents-less green nanoencapsulation method will not only maximize the nutritional value of hemp oil and incorporated in it ingredients, but will also increase the commercial value of the final product and widen its application.
Supreme Pharmatech plans to process hemp seed oil in form of oil and dry powders, and newly developed technology will be the subject to international Patent.
