IX Power Clean Water and Kingdom Agriculture Technologies team up to Fulfill Global Need for Advanced Water Treatment Technology

JANUARY 4, 2021, GOLDEN, CO – IX Power Clean Water (IX Water) and Kingdom Agriculture Technologies (Kingdom Ag) have teamed up to cross market, sell, and distribute their water treatment products and systems. “This collaboration means that both our companies will be able to reach out and solve more water issues for agriculture, heavy industry, manufacturing, and oil and gas operations,” said John R. (Grizz) Deal, CEO of IX Power Clean Water.

IX Power Clean Water is an innovative provider of cleantech solutions designed to treat and clean industrial wastewater so that freshwater resources can be preserved for families, crops, and communities. The company was founded by IX Power LLC, a technology commercialization and product development firm spun-out from Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. Offices for IX Power Clean Water are located in Golden, Colorado and Dalian, China.

Jordan Rives is the CEO of Kingdom Agriculture Technologies which is based in Greensboro, North Carolina. A water-focused technology company, Kingdom Ag is dedicated to developing and promoting agriculture technologies which clean and improve water quality, stimulate growth, and reduce chemical-dependency. Jordan Rives said, “Kingdom is excited to be working with the IX Water team. We believe the synergies around cleaning and filtering water will be vital to success for our customers.”

Kingdom Agriculture Technologies is perhaps best known for its role in cleaning contaminated water in the agricultural industry. This is more important than may be commonly recognized.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes that “people who consume fruit or vegetables that were exposed to contaminated water are at a risk of developing a foodborne illness” and there are 48 million cases of foodborne illness per year. How does contaminated water get on produce?

If the fields are sprayed with contaminated water for irrigation, fruits and vegetables can be contaminated before harvest. Also, if contaminated water or ice is used to wash, pack, or chill fruits or vegetables, the contamination can spread to those items. Diseases that can be spread through the use of contaminated water in agriculture include e. coli, salmonella, giardia, norovirus, cryptosporidium, hepatitis A, and toxoplasma. Through the use of Kingdom Ag’s water treatment technologies irrigation water can be cleaned.

IX Power Clean Water and IX Power Clean Water’s IX Water Services is a complete water treatment services company transforming the most contaminated waters in the world. It is best known for its treatment of water from heavy industry. The company’s machines are “prescriptive,” that is they are custom designed to capture the contaminants which are particular to each source. For example, each oil or gas well site generates its own unique “blend” of hazardous wastewater (called produced water) containing various levels of heavy metals, organic hydrocarbons, chemicals, and more. IX Water designs each machine to remove the contaminants that are found in the produced water from each well; and it does so cheaper and more efficiently, without adding chemicals, than any other produced water handling process, including trucking and reinjection.

In addition to treating the oil and gas industry’s produced water, IX Water efficiently addresses the wastewater from coal coking plants, mining operations, and heavy and light manufacturing (including textiles and pharmaceuticals). IX Water’s treated water meets or exceeds U.S.A. EPA, China EPA, and OSPAR regulations for discharge of treated produced water.
