What Attractions are Open in London Right Now?

What Attractions are Open in London Right Now?

If you’ve decided to stay in the UK rather than going abroad and having to quarantine afterwards, there’s plenty to do in the capital. After months of closure during lockdown, London has slowly been opening up again. While the situation is changing by the day, right now galleries, museums, and attractions across the city are allowing visitors to experience what they have to offer.

To plan where to visit during your stay, here are some of the attractions that are open for you to enjoy.

River cruise

See London from a different perspective when you climb aboard a Thames river cruise. Each route takes passengers past some of the most iconic landmarks in the city and you can also take your pick from a variety of themed trips, from Christmas to karaoke.

Better still, you can hop on and off at different piers, so you have a whole new way to get around the capital.

Madame Tussauds London

Madame Tussauds is a much-loved attraction. For over 130 years, tourists have flocked to to Marylebone Road to pose to the most famous people of the day. The attraction gives tourists the chance to pose next to everyone from Ed Sheeran to the Queen. One of the most recent additions is the full 6 foot 6 inches of World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, so you can strike a pose next to this champion.

The London Eye

If you long to take in captivating views across London, there’s nothing quite like a trip on the London Eye. Visitors can once again soar into the sky on this breathtaking attraction and new hygiene measures have been introduced to keep everyone safe while they enjoy the ride.

The London Dungeon

Those with a taste for the darker side of history can take a trip to the London Dungeon. Here, the more macabre side of the city is brought to life by a team of actors with a fondness for frightening visitors.

Kew Gardens

Head out of the centre to Richmond and indulge in all the outdoors has to offer at Kew Gardens. There’s plenty to explore here this autumn. As well as the stunning plants, flowers and trees, you can take the Gruffalo trail with your little ones or check out new exhibition, Paradise Lost by artist, Jan Hendrix.

Social distancing is in place throughout here and you’ll need to book a time slot online before you arrive.

Wherever you want to explore while you’re in the capital, be sure to check the websites for all the attractions mentioned before you visit so that you know what measures are in place.
