Liquid Biopsy, aiding the fight against cancer
Bristol – July 4th, 2019. We are pleased to announce the partnership
between ISLB (International Society of Liquid Biopsy) and Lacort Medical,
offering advances in clinical oncology, in the use of liquid biopsies as new
clinical tools by means of academic activities, training and education to the
international medical community with a multidisciplinary approach.
Lacort Medical will work with the International Society of Liquid Biopsy to
design the online programs and to implement a roadmap of academic
activities. This will include international congresses, workshops, webinars,
and digital activities. Lacort Medical will also provide dissemination support
to the ISLB in different pathologies aiming to improve the professional
development of the international medical community.
Liquid biopsy is a minimally invasive technology for detection of molecular
biomarkers without the need for costly or invasive procedures. Precision
medicine has dramatically improved the field of medical oncology; and the
introduction of patient-tailored therapies has significantly improved all
measurable outcomes.
In what will undoubtedly be one of the most comprehensive initiatives in
Liquid Biopsy aiding the fight against cancer, the ISLB and Lacort Medical
are pleased to announce the Annual International Congress ISLB in
Liquid Biopsy, which will take place in Barcelona on April 3-4, 2020.
This meeting will bring together experts in the field of Liquid Biopsy who will
share their latest advances in their clinical field. During the event, clinical
best practices related to liquid biopsy will be presented, new consensus will
be reached and the latest advances in cellular and molecular diagnostic
technologies will be discussed.
The ISLB was founded in 2017 in the city of Granada, Spain, with the main
objective to introduce the use of liquid biopsies as a new clinical tool,
connecting professionals with diverse experience and medical background
in precision medicine, utilizing education and information resources to
support advancements on liquid biopsy technologies.
Lacort Medical, based in England United Kingdom, provides healthcare
professionals (doctors, residents, technicians and students) with academic
tools and communication channels through the implementation of courses,
scientific symposiums, congresses, and prevention projects in different
pathologies.
