Are you looking for a new car which will save you money in repair costs or have a long lifespan? Especially for families and money savers, reliability of a car is a big selling point. It’s hard to tell if a car is reliable just by looking at it but some brands are known for reliability and according to Consumer Reports some of the biggest reliable brands include Lexus, Toyota and Kia! UK Car Finance have compiled a list of the most reliable cars to buy in 2019, ensuring that you and your family are kept safe and save money along the way!

What makes a car reliable? Your first thought is probably a car that doesn’t breakdown often, which is true but there are other factors which affect a cars reliability. Year on year the reliability of some of the most popular cars is improving with each new generation. Manufactures have much more confidence in their models these days and some big names such as Kia now offering a massive 7 year/100,000 mile warranty! Honda CR-V

Starting off with the Honda CR-V, a well-rounded family car which offers a spacious and comfortable drive. With a generous amount of safety equipment and a full 5* Euro NCAP rating, the CR-V is one of the safest on the roads. Honda are well known for their high level of reliability and customer satisfaction across the range and their latest model is no different. When tested, the CR-V was highly rated for its trustworthiness and lack of faults.

Hyundai i10

This year, the Hyundai i10 has been praised for being the most reliable city car! The i10 comes with an impressive 5 year warranty that includes roadside assistance and free annual vehicle checks, meaning you can ensure your car is ticking along just right! For a small car, the cabin is roomy with plenty of storage space and smooth and pleasant drive round town. In the Driver Power owner satisfaction survey, only 8.7% of owners who responded reported that they had a problem with their vehicle.

The Lexus CT is one of the most reliable cars on the road today! As a brand, Lexus is constantly ranked highly for safety and reliability and the CT is no different. The smallest and cheapest Lexus you can buy, the CT creates an enjoyable drive with impressive handling. It also has excellent fuel economy when dotting about town.

Skoda Octavia

The Octavia was recently updated and it’s now better than ever. The cabin is incredibly spacious and is very well built. It has many positives such as cheap to run but holds its own on the motorway!
