Involvement Packaging Triumphs Over UK’s Biggest Brands at Employee Engagement Awards
Involvement Packaging are delighted to have been awarded 2 major accolades at the UK and European Employee Engagement Awards 2017.
The Hyde based supplier of rigid plastic and metal packaging to industrial B2B buyers were shortlisted finalists in the Employee Engagement SMB Company of the Year and Internal Communication Award categories.
The Employee Engagement Awards in association with People Insight are the first and only global dedicated employee engagement awards created to provide a platform to recognise excellence in engagement that inspires action and drives both industry and the employee experience forward.
The Employee Engagement SMB Company of The Year Award recognises the organisation that demonstrates the most compelling and holistic approach to their strategy for engaging their workforce. The winning business will provide evidence that they’ve utilised multiple opportunities for employees to engage with their company and become more fulfilled in their work and focuses on companies that have up to 500 employees.
The Internal Communication Award acknowledges businesses that have gone to considerable lengths to improve internal communications. This is the biggest issue of concern for disengaged employees as noted by many engagement consultants. Shortlisted businesses demonstrated that they had delivered a well thought out Internal Communications programme that delivers proven results with the employees at the heart of the campaign.
At a glamorous awards ceremony held at the prestigious Wembley Stadium on 25th January 2018, finalists enjoyed a celebration of inspirational employee engagement stories and were delighted to pick up a Highly Commended award for Employee Engagement SMB Company of the Year.
In a David and Goliath style battle, the family run packaging company with less than 100 employees, who have 3 divisions across 4 UK sites thwarted big household brand names including Centrica, BT, Danske Bank, Plusnet, RBS, Olympus and iTG to take home the prestigious Internal Communications Award.
Involvement Packaging Chief Executive, Arjen Cooper-Rolfe expressed his delight at the accomplishment;
“We’ve learnt a lot when it comes to Employee Engagement over the past few years. One of the things I think we’ve learnt that stands out for me is to have more faith in our own abilities and less doubt.
We didn’t know how to do this. We didn’t have any experience of doing it before, yet just look at what we’ve achieved! Of course, we can still get better but we learn as we go along and improve through practice.”
Also attending the ceremony was Involvement Packaging’s Culture and Communications Manager, Lindsey Hughf, who commented;
“Despite being a much smaller business than many of the other Internal Communication Award finalists, employee engagement and internal communications is a key driver within our business and we have invested heavily in programmes to develop how we communicate internally.
We are a group of like-minded people who share a common purpose and set of values that drive our performance culture. We strive to improve what we do by 1 percent every day.
It is a great feeling to have our hard work acknowledged at such a global event and to have exceeded the judge’s expectations when matched against such huge brands”
